Job Summary :
The IT Investment Solutions Group at HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan) seeks a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer for our IT for Investments Infrastructure team.
This full-time role focuses on cloud system and network administration, supporting HOOPP's Investment, Finance, and Risk Management groups.
Key Responsibilities :
Design, deploy, and manage scalable, reliable, and automated cloud infrastructure solutions on platforms such as AWS and Snowflake.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize AWS environments for performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
Provide technical support and guidance on AWS network operations.
Lead initiatives, gathering requirements and implementing secure solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to optimize cloud-based applications.
Develop and maintain automated cloud provisioning and management processes.
Create and maintain documentation for cloud architectures and processes.
Implement automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve cloud system and containerization issues.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Enhance security posture and respond to security incidents.
Mentor junior colleagues and share knowledge across teams.
Communicate complex concepts effectively within the team.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8-10 years of experience in IT Infrastructure Operations or Software Development focused on system and network administration and automation.
Proficiency in AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
Fundamental networking knowledge (DHCP, DNS, VLANs, IPSEC VPN, AWS VPC, etc.).
Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Docker, Kubernetes, and IT operational processes.
Strong knowledge of Agile practices and security principles.
Expertise in Windows and Linux operating systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Relevant certifications AWS SysOps Administrator, AWS Advanced Networking, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, Snowflake SnowPro Core).
