JOB OVERVIEW
See your work take off to the skies! Play a major role assisting our Certified Painters in all projects, big or small. The Paint Prepper position is ideally suited to someone who enjoys working with their hands, with a background in construction, manufacturing or automotive industries. The Paint Prepper is responsible for tasks such as washing, stripping, cleaning, masking, etching and alodining aircraft parts. You’ll work on a variety of projects.
The objective of the role is to support you in becoming a Certified Aircraft Painter recognized by the Canadian Council of Aviation and Aerospace (CCAA). As you progress in your training you will be provided with the opportunity to work on full aircraft paint jobs. Some of our notable paint projects include : Swoop Airlines, Conair Air Tankers and Canadian North!

As an Aircraft Painter with KF Aerospace you can start a rewarding career with a team of people who are passionate about their craft. The position has an Uncertified and Certified wage structure. The Paint Learner (Uncertified) position ranges from $22.09 to $28.88 and is subject to 6 monthly performance and wage reviews. To become certified, you must meet the following CCAA (Canadian Council of Aviation and Aerospace) requirements :
Once these requirements are met, you are eligible for a promotion which expands your job responsibilities and moves them to a higher wage bracket. The Certified Aircraft Painter pay scale ranges from $29.53 - $38.99 and is subject to annual performance and wage reviews.
