Job Title : Technical Practice Leader Global Salesforce
Slalom is seeking a technical practice leader to support our Salesforce partnership and join our global capabilities team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven, seasoned technical leader to help grow and lead a team of individuals who design innovative ways to accelerate the growth of our business.
You will provide thought leadership to our enterprise clients, set strategic direction for Salesforce practitioners, and be accountable for overseeing the overall quality execution of business and technology consulting across all Salesforce engagements that this team delivers.
As a practice lead for Global Salesforce, you are responsible for making sure our customers achieve their strategic objectives through the proper technology systems architecture.
We expect for you, and your team, to be able to conduct enterprise analysis, design, planning, and implementation, using a comprehensive approach for the successful development and execution of strategy;
including leading a team of technical architects that have these same skillsets. Having broad knowledge across many enterprise technology platforms, you will be supporting our sales teams in developing Salesforce value propositions that align with our customers’ business strategies on digital transformation and cloud adoption.
Your leadership of a team of technical architects will assist Slalom in determining the best approach and offer a perspective on how to approach Salesforce multi-cloud architecture, and interactions with multiple platforms.
You will aid sales teams in developing value propositions that align with customers’ business and technical strategies. Your team will consist of the subject matter experts of multiple Salesforce clouds with experience developing, architecting, and building the most in-depth portions of the platform in Salesforce.
You will drive best practices, process, and enablement for Salesforce core offerings from a technical perspective while collaborating with our markets, go-to-market team, and delivery excellence leadership.
So, what will I do?
- Accountability for growing the Global Salesforce delivery capability, including driving sales, recruiting, talent enablement, people / career management, best practices, technical solutioning, thought leadership and project staffing.
- Manage strategic project engagement risk, project economics / budget, project outcomes, and buy-in of proposed solutions from executive, client management.
- Serve as a trusted advisor for large, complex deliveries; drive conversations with our customer's enterprise architects and business stakeholders armed with best practices for enterprise architecture functions such as security, performance, development process, and application governance.
- Manage customer expectations and negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third-party partners.
- Identify opportunities for growth and maturation of Salesforce.com offerings; lend expertise and / or lead sales solutioning for targeted pursuits.
- Build and develop relationships / partnerships with local market teams, aligning on sales pursuits, resource capacity and capabilities, and awareness across the region.
- Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform within clients’ architectural landscape.
- Lead technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions aligned with client business objectives; identify gaps between client's current and desired end-states.
- Responsible for solution and / or overall project outcomes, driving Delivery Excellence
- Manage the technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation.
- Responsible for aspects of project financial & operational health (e.g., margin, managed revenue, staffing, engagement), maximizing value.
- Responsible for People / Career Management and project staffing; mentors others in areas of expertise, and / or connects experts and mentors-mentees.
And, what will I bring?
- 8+ years of experience in a large consulting environment, filling positions of increasing responsibility and management of more junior technical resources.
- Expert-level experience with the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds
- Expert-level technical understanding of the Salesforce platform and demonstrated experience with Salesforce.com architecture and APIs.
- Experience working with enterprise-size Salesforce environments.
- Understanding of key design patterns and large data volume limitations and best practices
- Understanding of data sharing and visibility considerations and how these play into platform architecture
- Knowledge of data integration tools and experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems (ETL, CPQ, marketing automation, reporting, etc.)
- Understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies (DevOps)
- 6+ years of experience architecting on the Salesforce core tech stack and recommending effective use of technology, including cloud technologies.
- Deep experience with business development skills, including managing and developing relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Deep experience with Agile / Scrum and Waterfall methodologies; expert at project delivery, including all aspects of program management and the SDLC.
- Expert verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for different audiences.
- Excellent mentoring and leadership skills
- Open to travel when needed.
- Active Salesforce architecture certifications (Systems Architect, Application Architect
