Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Installer to join our team and play a vital role in deploying Point of Sale (POS) systems for our clients. This role involves installing, configuring, training and troubleshooting POS software and hardware to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric mindset.
Key Responsibilities :
Install POS software on hardware devices such as terminals, self service and peripheral devices (e.g., printers, barcode scanners, self checkouts).
Perform system checks to verify proper installation and functionality.
Provide on-site or remote training to end-users on POS system functionality and usage.
Diagnose and resolve software installation and integration issues.
Work closely with project and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate deployment of POS systems.
Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and data security protocols.
High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience with POS systems or related software / hardware installation.
Strong customer service, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or vendor-specific certifications) are a bonus.
