OPENLANE / ADESA Vancouver has an opportunity for a Part-time, Permanent Maintenance Technician, working 20-25 hours per week . You are the ideal candidate if you have 1-2 years of maintenance experience and can multi-task while staying organized and professional. General Employment Details :

Position Title : Facility Maintenance Technician

Permanent Part-Time

Hours : To be Determined, Based on Operation Demands. Varies between Mondays-Saturdays 100% on-site

Hourly Compensation : $17.40-$19.00

Manager : Roland Worthmann

Responsibilities :

  • Maintains the building interior and exterior by completing minor janitorial duties
  • Maintains all buildings in good working condition
  • Maintains building equipment, water treatment facility, operations equipment and machinery by following a maintenance schedule consisting of inspection, cleaning and replacement of defective or used parts
  • Ensures the maintenance of the lot and parking lots, completing lawn and surrounding landscape maintenance and may remove trash
  • Monitors equipment and parts to identify current and future requirements and places orders
  • Ensures equipment, electrical, plumbing and heating are operational by conducting regular inspections and completing minor repairs
  • Responsible snow and ice removal from the lots and walkways, monitors inventory levels and places orders and cleaning the auction lanes on non-sale days
  • Other duties may apply such as assisting the Lot team in loading vehicles into trailers, and ensuring the lot is maintained properly.

Education & Experience requirements :

  • Previous maintenance experience required
  • Working knowledge of maintenance equipment
  • Must be able to operate a loader and a skid steer
  • Must be a self-starter and take initiative
  • Ability to work independently
  • Heavy lifting required
  • Criminal Record Check and Driver’s Abstract completed and cleared by ADESA is mandatory
