Role : MS Dynamics 365 F&O Consultant
Length : 6-12 Month Contract
Location : Burnaby, BC
Rate : $55-60 / hour
Responsibilities :
- Serve as the subject matter expert on Dynamics 365 (F&O version).
- Provide system training and ongoing support to team members.
- Lead initiatives to optimize Dynamics 365 for financial reporting and operational effectiveness.
- Prepare and present financial reports.
- Conduct variance analysis for sales, costs, margins, and overheads, providing actionable insights.
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and departmental budgets.
- Oversee A / R, A / P, GL, inventory accounting, and cost accounting.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end close processes.
- Manage inventory controls, including physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Streamline financial processes, procedures, and system controls for efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with provincial and federal reporting requirements, tax filings, and internal policies.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
- Lead centralized training sessions for the Finance team and other departments.
- Act as a mentor and resource for staff development in finance-related functions.
- Support finance-related system projects, including implementation, upgrades, and integrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on operational improvements.
Requirements :
Education : Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business.Professional Designation : CPA, CGA, or CMA (completed or near completion).Minimum of 2 years in Financial Analysis and / or related experienceHands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O version) is mandatory, with strong expertise in the Finance functional area.Full cycle Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O implementation experience coupled with a comprehensive understanding of ERP applicationsKnowledge of Budgeting, Project Budgeting, Project Accounting and Basic General Ledger, AR, AP.Process analysis, redesign, and documentation experienceExperience in working on functional design, configuration, and process alignment with a detailed understanding of Financial System concepts and general module functionality.Proven track record in financial reporting, variance analysis, and cost control.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros).Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.Experience with ERP system implementation and training.
