Role Overview

Based in Canada, this position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer – North America and focuses on securing and retaining Ground Handling and Fueling contracts at Canadian airports from global carriers.

Key Responsibilities :

Business Growth & Sales

  • Drive new customer acquisition and expand services across Swissport’s network.
  • Secure contracts at additional airport locations.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.

Strategic Collaboration

  • Work with the CCO, regional leadership, and Station Managers to identify and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Develop tailored proposals and win strategies.
  • Account & Revenue Management

  • Maintain strong customer relationships for renewals and issue resolution.
  • Ensure pricing strategies capture 100% of contracted price increases.
  • Execution & Compliance

  • Manage a robust sales pipeline, converting leads into contracts.
  • Ensure contract profitability and address underperformance.
  • Adhere to SOPs and maintain accurate records in Salesforce.
  • Support & Authority

  • Collaborate with internal teams for competitive proposals and timely submissions.
  • Negotiate agreements within approved parameters and explore new market opportunities.

  • Travel

    Up to 75% (mainly domestic, 1-2 international trips annually)

    Qualifications :

  • Experience : Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales, and business development within the aviation ground handling market, with a proven track record of success in North America.
  • Strong analytical mindset with expertise in financial modeling, performance forecasting, and budgeting. Proficiency in Excel functions and PowerPoint creation is essential.
  • Language Skills : English proficiency is required, and French (written and spoken) is beneficial.
  • Market Knowledge : Strong understanding of ground handling markets, including existing relationships with carriers and industry stakeholders.
