We continue to grow and today are looking for a committed, talented, star to join our team as our Innovation Co-op.

Position Summary / Objective :

This position supports the research & development department in brand maintenance, quality improvement, innovation, and productivity initiatives to help the company consistently deliver high quality food products.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Exhibit and protect Riverside’s Core Values and Purpose
• Manage competitor samples and inventory, host tastings to analyze new and existing products on the market
• Support organization of the R&D lab. Keep lab stocked, tidy, and write SOPs as necessary to support good operation of the lab.
• Support lab technician with analytical measurements as part of the shelf-life program
• Work in conjunction with other Innovation Scientists to evaluate & source new equipment and develop new products.
• Run trials in collaboration with Innovation Team Members on different formulations, technologies, or processing conditions. Determine whether the trials have been successful based on the analytics. Recommend next steps.
• Produce product prototypes in lab for sensory evaluation
• Assist R&D Team members with data collection required to commission and renovate production lines; engage all stakeholders throughout project
• Other duties as required

Reporting Relationships

The position reports directly to the Technical Innovation Team Lead.
