Job description

MAV Beauty is seeking a creative, enthusiastic Brand Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a self-starter, and passionate about developing new products that drive business impact. With an affinity for beauty, wellness, and hair care products, this individual will thrive in a fast-paced environment and play a key role in shaping the future of our diverse portfolio, which includes brands such as Marc Anthony True Professional, Sky Organics, Cake, Renpure, and The Mane Choice. Reporting to the head of the brand, the Brand Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to bold, innovative strategies that align with the rapidly evolving beauty industry.

Brand Manager Responsibilities include :

Brand Building and Go to Market Planning (40%) :

  • Champion the brand's vision, mission, and values, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of go-to-market strategies, campaigns, and goals that drive consumer demand with concept ideation, market analysis, and brief development.
  • Develop high-quality marketing materials and toolkits aligned with the brand strategy.
  • Manage the brand’s image library, graphics, and video assets.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external agencies to implement innovative strategies and promotional elements that drive sales.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive dynamics in the beauty, hair care, and wellness sectors to inform decision-making.
  • Work closely with the creative team and communications team on the flawless and timely execution of integrated marketing communications.
  • Collaborate closely with our e-commerce team to align strategies and support their needs for assets, copy, and category knowledge
  • Collaborate with the sales team to design, execute, and analyze results of trade marketing programs, including coupons, displays, etc.

Business Management / Analytic (30%) :

  • Analyze and prioritize market insights to support business objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth competitor, market, and consumer analysis to guide product development and go-to-market strategies.
  • Regularly update key stakeholders on business performance through sales and market data analysis (AC Nielsen, POS, IRI, Consumer, Customer).
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives in achieving brand objectives.
  • Identify issues, trends, and opportunities to continuously improve plans and execution.
  • New Product Development (20%) :

  • Contribute to the ideation, development, and execution of new product innovations, from concept through launch.
  • Provide recommendations on pricing strategy and size of prize estimates
  • Collaborate with the product development, regulatory, and sales teams to ensure alignment with market trends and consumer needs.
  • Manage the artwork, packaging, and regulatory approvals in partnership with designers and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-launch analysis, tracking performance, consumer feedback, and sales to optimize future initiatives.
  • Special Projects & Functional Assignments (10%) :

  • Prepare and deliver presentations for senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Graphics, Finance, Operations, etc.
  • Support Sales teams with marketing materials, mock-ups, and presentations as needed.
  • All members of team will have 1 or 2 transversal responsibilities that span all brands as lead point of contact for key vendors
  • Qualifications :

  • BS / BA (Business, Marketing, Social Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, Economics); MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in brand management within CPG or beauty / personal care industries.
  • Knowledge of category trends, key competitors, and target consumer segments.
  • Experience with natural, wellness, and conventional beauty products is an asset.
  • Ability to create and present visually compelling presentations for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to remove obstacles and accomplish goals.
  • Strong understanding of retail and shopper dynamics in Canada and the US.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid office environment (at least 3 days / week).
