Job description

Our well established client in Port Coquitlam is seeking a permanent Payroll Administrator to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity in a company with a great culture.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Process and administer full cycle multi-provincial, semi-monthly Canadian and US payroll.
  • Perform manual data entry and maintenance of the payroll system, including new hires, employee updates, terminations, garnishments and medical leaves etc.
  • Onboarding administration including preparing and sending job offers, welcome communication, and initial paperwork
  • Job posting administration, phone interviews, and coordinating interviews with hiring manager
  • Process changes to benefits coverage, including new enrollments, coverage changes and terminations
  • Respond to payroll and benefits inquiries from employees, managers, and various external parties
  • Process commission payments to salespeople

Qualifications :

  • Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP)
  • Minimum 2 years multi-province payroll experience with over 200 employees and some accounting experience
  • Familiar with Ceridian Dayforce is an asset
  • Proficient in MS Office
