Responsibilities

In this Bookkeeper role, you will be responsible for the following :

  • Maintain accurate financial records by recording all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable / receivable on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documents.
  • Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
  • Assist with payroll processing, including calculating hours, preparing pay stubs, and remitting payroll taxes.
  • Prepare financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets, on a regular basis for management review.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and comply with all relevant accounting regulations and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks as assigned by management.
  • Qualifications

    We are looking for the following for this Bookkeeper role :

  • 10 years of accounting experience across all aspects of the function including Canadian payroll.
  • A bachelor’s degree in either business administration or accounting.
  • Experience working with QuickBooks or similar ERP systems is a requirement.
  • Experience working within the construction or similar industry is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills is required.
