Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Mechanics, Avionics, Structures with Dash 8 ExperiencePosition ProfileWe are currently recruiting for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers with Q400 and / or Twin Otter type courses (preferred).Duties & ResponsibilitiesAccurately interpret manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, engineering orders, test documents and manufacturer’s installation manualsRepair and fabricate parts as per drawings and standard practices. Have a basic understanding of other aircraft systems.Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanics, structures and avionics systems. Perform system checks and inspections.Keep accurate records of all work performed and maintain inventory of tools and equipmentMaintain a clean work area and alert the leadership team of any safety concerns; take immediate action or report immediately any unsafe conditionsResponsible for ensuring both accuracy and traceability of parts removed or installed on AircraftPerform other work as assigned and willing to work shift workSafely operate ground support equipment, i.E., power carts, lifts (when properly trained), etc. as requiredEducation & Experience5+ years’ experience working on the Dash 8 preferredTC AME license preferredPositive attitude and strong work ethicDemonstrated organizational skills and attention to detailAble to work effectively independently and as part of a teamBasic computer skills and familiarity with InternetGood oral and written communication skillsPossess the knowledge expected of an Aircraft Mechanic, Structures Technician or Avionics Technician on aircraft types handled by the Company.Physical RequirementsAbility to work 6 days per weekAbility to work in confined spaces and at heightsAbility to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.Ability to acquire a Transport Canada issued Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
