RoleOverview
The Legal istant will support the WillsEstates and Corporate Law practice groups by providing essentialclerical and administrative istance.
This role requires strongorganizational ss the ability to manage multiple priorities and acommitment to confidentiality anddiscretion.
KeyResponsibilities
- Handle administrative duties such as emailand calendar management coordinating meetings preparing engagementletters and routine correspondence.
- Maintain and manage a bringforward systemwith timely reminders.
- Ensure physical and electronic filing systemsare organized and up to date.
- Liaise with Billing Coordinators to ensurethe timely production of monthly accounts.
- Provide backup coverage in the absence ofother istants or team members.
- Conduct conflict searches open files completeclient identification / verification and prepare retainerletters.
- Performbasic online searches (e.g. Wills registry municipal tax corporateregistry land title office).
- ist with organizing and maintaining estatetrust and corporate doents and records.
- Communicate with clients and potentialclients to collect information schedule meetings and respond toinquiries.
- Otherduties as igned.
Qualifications
- Completion of a postsecondaryLegal istant or Paralegal course.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in asimilar role preferably within Wills Estates or CorporateLaw.
- Familiarity withBC Online BC Registries MyLTSA and ALF is anet.
- Strong technicalss in Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience with 3E iManageWork andDocuSign.
- Large firmexperience is preferred.

Compensation
