C&A Industries, a leading metal fabricating business in Lethbridge specializing in manufacturing and servicing the food & beverage industry, is looking for a Machine Operator to join our team. About Pickling & Passivation :

Pickling and passivation are chemical processes used to clean and protect metal surfaces. Pickling removes scale, rust, and other contaminants using various chemicals, restoring the metal’s clean surface. Passivation enhances corrosion resistance by creating a protective oxide layer, preventing future oxidation and rust. These processes are essential in ensuring high-quality, long-lasting metal components.

In this role, you will operate an innovative new piece of equipment designed to automate these treatments. This is an exciting opportunity at the forefront of industry innovation!

Wage : $28-$33 per hour.

Responsibilities :

  • Operate pickle and passivation equipment to clean and treat metal surfaces.
  • Handle and monitor chemical solutions to ensure proper metal treatment.
  • Follow safety protocols for handling chemicals and operating machinery.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
  • Maintain detailed records of treatments and production output.
  • Work collaboratively with the fabrication team to ensure quality standards are met.

Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or machine operation preferred.
  • Understanding of chemical handling and safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and follow work orders and technical instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety, and commitment to quality.
  • Physically capable of lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
