Our client provides a full range of structural engineering design services for private and public sector projects. With offices in Nanaimo, Courtenay, and Victoria, our team is able to provide service to our clients across Vancouver Island. For projects across Canada we are committed to providing excellent service and have relationships with local professionals where needed to ensure our clients needs are met

Your new Role :

• Provide structural engineering on a wide variety of building and bridge projects in Western Canada.
• Work with and oversee technicians and technologists in the preparation of structural documents.
• Coordination with the design team
• Perform structural field reviews and attend site meetings during construction.
• Prepare structural specifications and technical reports.
• Operate within the Professional Practice Management Plan (PPMP), mandated by EGBC.
• Structural design of buildings according to local, provincial, and national standards and codes
• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
• Interact with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent participants to provide assistance and technical support.
• Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
• Manage projects to meet budget and time constraints performance
• Produce sketches and provide engineering support / input to drafting
• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA / QC policies, performance
• Participate in site reviews, respond to RFI’s, and supervise and manage ongoing
• projects and personnel

Your Technical Skills

5-10 years of Structural Engineering experience. (Intermediate Position)

P.Eng Designation through EGBC - out of province designation may be considered
