Senior Manager, Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture

Position : Senior Manager, Cloud & Infrastructure ArchitectureLocation : Toronto, 1-2 days onsite (flexible)Salary : Flexible (15% bonus), 4 weeks of annual leave + 1 mandatory week off (last week of December)We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager of Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture to lead our client's cloud transformation initiatives.

This role will be critical in transforming our traditional infrastructure into agile cloud solutions while managing a team of architects.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, proven people management skills, and a commitment to developing structured frameworks that enhance our architecture and support our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities : People Management : - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 5-6 full-time architects, including Network Architects, End User Architects, and Solution Architects.

Foster a positive team culture, effectively manage performance reviews, and navigate difficult employee situations with proven experience.

Infrastructure Knowledge : - Oversee the transformation of traditional on-premises infrastructure (80%) to cloud solutions (20%) with a focus on Azure.

Provide guidance and expertise in traditional infrastructure while facilitating the transition to cloud services.- Establish standards and frameworks for architecture to ensure consistency and reliability across the organization.

Agile Change Management : - Implement agile methodologies in the architecture process to improve efficiency and responsiveness to business needs.

• Enhance insights into applications and infrastructure through continuous improvement practices.Strategic Framework Development : - Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement structured architectural frameworks that align with business objectives.
• Ensure that architectural decisions consider legal and regulatory requirements specific to North America.Qualifications : - Proven experience in a people management role, with a strong focus on project and relationship management.
• Extensive background in traditional infrastructure as a generalist, with deep knowledge of cloud architecture, particularly in Azure.
• Exceptional people management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and lead teams effectively.- Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies and the ability to drive change towards agile cloud solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in creating structured frameworks and standards for architecture.- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field;

advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.Preferred Qualifications : - Experience in the financial services sector is a plus but not mandatory.
