About the Opportunity As a Construction Associate at Clearspace, you will play a vital role in ensuring our job sites are well-equipped, well-maintained, and running smoothly. Working closely with our Site Operations team and Site Supervisors, you’ll be hands-on in the field, assisting with everything from site setup and decommissioning to material coordination, warranty calls, and deficiency management. This is a high-tempo, field-based role suited for energetic individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in commercial construction. It’s an excellent opportunity for early-career construction professionals to build core competencies, develop problem-solving skills, and gain exposure to site operations. High-performing Construction Associates are expected to progress into Site Supervision roles as they gain experience. As a highly visible presence on job sites and in the buildings we work in, you will be an ambassador for Clearspace and its core values. About the Deliverables Site Preparation & Decommissioning – Set up job sites with safety gear, signage, permits, and essentials; remove tools and materials and perform a final clean sweep at project completion. Warranty & Service Calls – Respond to service requests, conduct minor repairs, log warranty issues, and coordinate necessary vendor repairs. Deficiency Management – Identify, log, and assign construction deficiencies; track and follow up to ensure timely resolution. Material & Equipment Coordination – Oversee the receipt, handling, and storage of construction materials, fixtures, and equipment to prevent loss or damage. Storage Organization – Maintain Clearspace’s dedicated storage space for tools, consumables, and equipment, ensuring accessibility and inventory tracking. Site Coverage & Support – Provide on-site coverage for Site Supervisors during absences, vacations, or peak workload periods. About You Valid driver’s license and access to a truck or van for transporting materials and equipment between job sites (this is essential). 1-3 years of experience in construction or a related field ; experience in commercial office fit-outs is an asset. Hands-on experience with basic construction tasks such as minor repairs, site setup, and tool / equipment handling. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to manage site deficiencies, warranty calls, and material coordination. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-tempo environment , adapting to shifting priorities as needed. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to represent Clearspace professionally on job sites and in client-occupied buildings. Physically capable of lifting and moving materials and equipment as required for site setup and logistics. Proactive mindset with a strong work ethic , eager to learn and grow into a Site Supervision role.
