Job description

McCowan Design & Manufacturing, a leading Canadian designer and manufacturer of retail store fixtures and merchandising systems based in Scarborough, seeks a professional, energetic and high performance individual for the position of Account Manager. This role involves managing some of the company’s largest and fastest-growing accounts , while at the same time you will be devloping new business throughout North America.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new sales opportunities and develop existing customer accounts
  • Prepare and convert accurate fixture quotes into orders by completing take off's from drawings.
  • Manage and monitor full project cycles with responsive communication
  • Collaborate with internal departments for accuracy and customer satisfaction
  • Handle store orders, special projects, and administrative functions, including inventory management
  • Communicate customer requirements to engineering / design teams
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ industries and challenges for future business opportunities
  • Some travel required
  • Prepare accurate forecasts and sales plans for accounts
  • Maintain a highly organized approach with strong analytical skills
  • Excel in verbal and written communication
  • Proficiency in computer skills, especially Excel, Word, Windows, and PowerPoint
  • Qualifications Preferred

  • University or college degree with approximately 5+ years of work experience
  • Bilingual (French) would be an asset
  • Reporting and Support

    The position reports directly to the Director of Sales and receives additional support from our account coordinators and engineering / design department.
