Shuttle Driver - Part-Time / Casual Positions

Location : Greater Toronto Area, ON

PWTransit is currently seeking multiple Shuttle Drivers throughout the GTA for part-time / casual work. This position is responsible for shuttling, repositioning and delivering empty, not-in-service transit buses around various points in the GTA. This will sometimes involve a one-way delivery followed by a taxi or ride share back to the starting point.

This is a part-time / casual position offering approximately 400 hours annually, perfect for a retired or semi-retired transit or commercial driver.

Wage : $29.69 per hour

Position Requirements :

  • Valid class B or C driver's license with airbrake endorsement (Z)
  • Minimum 3 years of previous commercial driving experience (transit experience preferred)
  • Clear drivers abstract

No more than 3 demerit points in the past 3 years or 5 points in the past 5 years

  • No more than 2 moving violations in the past 5 years
  • No suspensions or prohibitions of any kind in the past 5 years
  • No more than 1 at fault collision in the past 5 years
  • No criminal convictions or pending charges relating directly to the Operator position
  • Must be organized, punctual and reliable
  • Possess excellent driving skills and habits
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption

    • Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Shuttle, reposition, or deliver empty, not-in-service transit buses to various locations across the GTA
  • Drive safely and responsibly and be prepared for all road and traffic conditions

    • Selected applicants will be required to participate in a comprehensive recruitment process which consists of interviews, trainability session, medical examination (as required for licensing), drug and alcohol screening, criminal record and reference checks
