Job description

Overview

This position contributes to the success of PepsiCo Beverages Canada by leading the production team to meet customer needs and achieve standards related to safety, quality, and productivity. This individual must align with the organization to set production performance standards.

Hours of work : Weekend Shift. Four-day work week. Friday – Sunday (fourth working day open to flex based on applicant’s needs). Hours are approximately 6am – 4pm.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with all Health & Safety regulations
  • Achieve performance standards with regards to safety, quality, and productivity
  • Build team capability through hiring, training, and on-boarding unionized front-line hourly personnel
  • Manage performance standards through active coaching, effective communication and building team relationships
  • Applies critical thinking and troubleshooting techniques to solve operational challenges.
  • Executes against Annual Operating Plan for manufacturing
  • Tracks, analyze, and presents key performance indicators / costs to the team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Operations / manufacturing supervisory experience is an asset
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and / or weekends to support business needs & vacation coverage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast paced, changing work environment
  • Willingness to adapt & learn as required by the business
  • Previous experiences leading in unionized environment is an asset
  • Hands-on experience on implementing operational process is an asset
  • Lean six sigma training is an asset

    • Skills & Capabilities :

  • Demonstrated planning and organization skills
  • Demonstrated intermediate computer skills such as Microsoft Office 365
  • Self-starter individual with ability to drive productivity / performance
