Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will perform Project Management and Senior Technical work related to Phase One and Phase Two Environmental Site Assessments, data analysis and interpretation, Record of Site Condition filing, preparation of work plans and reports, mentoring junior and intermediate staff, and overseeing sub-contractors and project financials.
What you will be doing at Pinchin
- Oversee projects for a variety of clients and work towards becoming the principal contact for a specific list of clients
- Manage projects and ensure that they are completed on time and on budget
- Build leadership and mentorship skills by working with and mentoring junior and intermediate staff
- Maintain existing client relationships and identify opportunities for new business relationships
- Prepare proposals
- Participate in initiatives with the Marketing department to build new client relationships and maintain existing ones
What you bring to the Pinchin team
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Geology or related Science.
- Licensed Professional in Ontario with the Professional Engineers Ontario (P.Eng. or LET) is required, or an ability to obtain the License within one year from the employment.
- A minimum of 10-15 years of consulting experience with at least the last 5 years being in project management completing environmental site assessments and filing Record of Site Conditions.
- A good knowledge of how geotechnical, hydrogeological and environmental site assessment are complementary.
- Ability to manage multiple long and short-term projects.
- Ability to mentor junior and intermediate technical staff and have strong people management skills.
- Proven ability to develop our existing client base and recognize new market opportunities.
- Experience with invoicing, budgeting, and other areas of project related financial management.
- Valid driver’s licence and insurance are required (work related travel expenses will be compensated).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
