Our client is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to lead a team to optimize ArcGIS system processes, enhancements and data management, including transitioning to ArcGIS Pro

Must Haves :
- 10+ years as a GIS analyst, focusing on system processes and enhancements, including data management
- 3+ years in a team lead or management role (mentoring GIS team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning)
- Experience in GIS software integrations such as ArcGIS to ArcGIS Pro
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the operational aspects of the GIS production environment, ensuring optimal performance, stability, and scalability of GIS systems and workflows.
- Develop and implement data management strategies to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of GIS data and outputs.
- Establish and maintain data standards, protocols, and quality assurance processes to uphold data integrity and reliability.
- Evaluate and implement new GIS technologies and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of GIS operations, with a strong focus on Esri products.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for GIS initiatives aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Provide visionary leadership to the GIS team, setting clear direction, goals, and expectations.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of GIS projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS solutions into organizational workflows and decision-making processes.
- Oversee the allocation and management of internal budgets for GIS projects and initiatives.
- Identify potential risks associated with GIS data and projects and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
- Ensure project milestones are met and address any issues that arise during project implementation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop GIS team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Provide guidance and support to staff in project planning, execution, and problem-solving
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify professional development opportunities for team members.
- Develop and implement succession planning strategies to ensure continuity of leadership and expertise within the GIS team.
- Create and promote employee development programs to enhance skills, career growth, and professional advancement opportunities for team members.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their GIS needs and requirements and develop solutions that meet their expectations.
- Communicate GIS initiatives, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders, advocating for the value of GIS in organizational decision making.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal and external users of GIS data and services.
- Establish and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of GIS data and outputs.
