Job duties

• Rope access to hard-to reach areas without scaffold or a work platform
• Descend, ascend and traverse ropes for access and work while suspended by harness
• Perform a variety of maneuvers on rope comfortably
• Perform duties such as inspection, painting touch ups, silicone removal, water proofing, caulking and other kinds of work at height or high angle
• Perform minor repair / maintenance activities at height or high angle

Terms of employment

Permanent, full-time position (35 hours / week)

Expected Employment Start Date : as soon as possible

Wage

34.65 / hour

Skills requirements – Education and Work experience

Education : secondary school required

Work Experience :

At least eighteen months of previous experience as rope access technician or similar is required

Demonstrable experience working with a variety of tools is required

Fall Protection training certificate required

WHMIS certification required

IRATA certification required

Swing stage certificate evidencing professional training required

Aerial boom lift and scissor lift training certificate required

Any WorkSafeBC safety certificate is an asset

Experience in working in heights is an asset

Experience working with swing stage is an asset

Language requirements :

Spoken and written English required
