An overview of your future role at BBA
As the Vice-President, Pacific Canada Operations, you’ll oversee, manage and grow consulting operations across the province of British Columbia and the Yukon Territory.
You’ll report to theChief Operating Officer (COO) and ensure the seamless integration ofengineering, field and consulting practices, while optimizing operationalefficiency and advancing strategic initiatives to support the organization'sgrowth.
Your responsibilities will include business development and ensuring successfulproject delivery for clients. This role requires a seasoned leader with a solidbackground in engineering or consulting operations management, as well as expertisein strategic market development.
An overview of yourmandates and responsibilities
Business development
- Lead strategic businessdevelopment initiatives to pursue high-value OPEX and CAPEX engineeringprojects, ensuring long-term growth and profitability for the region
- Position the region forgrowth opportunities by generating RFP's and developing pursuit strategies
- Implement a structure thatmaximizes cross-selling services across offices and departments to optimize clientengagement.
Operations
- Develop and execute theregional operations plan in line with the firm’s goals, in collaboration with theCOO and other executives
- Develop and implement a risk management plan to mitigateoperational risks and ensure business sustainability
- Build and maintain strong governance relationships withclients, external consultants, regulatory authorities and industry partners
- Oversee engineering activities across multiple locations,ensuring top-tier performance, quality and safety to enhance the firm’scompetitive edge
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs)to monitor regional performance
- Manage and monitor budgets, resources, health and safety,project delivery and go to market strategies to achieve operational objectives withinperformance targets
- Manage operational efficiency of processes, applying bestpractices and continuous improvement methodologies
- Ensure all engineering, field and consulting activitiescomply with federal, provincial and local regulations and standards
- Lead, mentor and develop high-performing directors and managers
- Foster and promote BBA’s culture and business modelwhile serving as an ambassador
- Lead talent acquisition, retention and professionaldevelopment initiatives to build a robust and skilled workforce.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences andpublic forums to enhance its reputation
- Promote adopting advanced technologies and innovativesolutions to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Overview of certifications andjob requirements
- Bachelor’s degree inengineering, business administration or related field; a master’s degree (MBA)is preferred
- At least 15 years of experience in engineering orconsulting operations, with at least 10 years experience in a senior leadershiprole
- Proven experience managing engineering, field orconsulting projects and operations across multiple locations in both OPEX andCAPEX project types
- Solid understanding of the Canadian heavy industrymarket, especially in the energy and natural resource industry, if possible
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skillswith a proven ability to develop and implement effective operational plans
- Ability to build relationships across all levels of theorganization
- Strategic thinker and fast learner with strong businessacumen
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with atrack record of building and leading high-performing teams
- Exceptional communication and people skills, with theability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
