WAGE RATE : $24.107 – $24.615

Reporting to the Manager, Support Services, the General Service Worker supports the Support Services department in various general duties including the transportation of goods, equipment and patients; cleaning and garbage collection and responding to contingency codes.

Skills / Abilities / Qualifications

Required

• Secondary School Diploma
• Valid Class G Driver’s License
• Clean Driver’s Abstract
• Current First Aid and CPR (willingness to obtain)
• Willingness to complete Transportation of Dangerous Goods course may be required
• Code White (CPI certification) or willingness to obtain
• Ability to follow written and verbal job instructions and meet strict timelines
• Ability to carry out correct lifting and carrying techniques including lift of 250+lbs patients using a stretcher or chair with partner
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and decision making skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize work load
• Availability to work all shifts including weekends
• Ability to wear the required safety footwear and personal protective equipment
• Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records
