We are currently seeking a Process Engineer to join and strengthen our dynamic team in one of our offices : Oakville, Burnaby, Edmonton, Montreal, or St John.

This position is designed to transition into a Process Engineering Manager role within a few months.

YOUR MISSIONS

Engineering Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all process engineering activities to meet VTEK's business objectives consistently.
  • Ensure issued engineering work packages are complete, verified, timely, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

    • Technical Leadership and Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver integrated engineering work packages.
  • Review and implement VTEK’s policies, standards, and procedures for the Process Engineering & Design team.
  • Provide technical support, mentorship, and guidance to engineers and the design team.

    • Problem Solving and Improvement

  • Resolve technical issues during reviews and recommend alternative engineering solutions.
  • Promote lessons learned, continuous improvement initiatives, and best practices.

    • Strategic and Business Development Support

  • Review project proposals and assess feasibility to meet stakeholder needs.
  • Support business development through technical expertise, research, proposals, and presentations.
  • Assist in developing engineering proposals and budgets.

    • Managerial Transition

  • Begin taking on managerial responsibilities, including leading the process engineering team, overseeing resource allocation, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align team goals with company objectives.

    • IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Experience : 10 years in the oil and gas industry with a strong foundation in process engineering.
  • Certification : Canadian P.Eng certification (PEO, OIQ, APEGA, etc.).
  • Leadership Skills : Proven ability to mentor and guide teams, with a desire to step into a managerial role.
  • Strategic Thinking : Strong analytical skills to balance technical expertise with project and resource management.
