Entrusted Advisors has an exciting opportunity for a talented Labor & Employment specialist with experience in Ontario to support one of our global corporate clients. This is an immediate opportunity to step in and support a fantastic in-house team with day-to-day employment advice and counsel, HR support, and policy development and training. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to interface directly with sophisticated business teams within a well-known and respected international corporation.
Responsibilities :
- Provide legal support to HR and business partners for employment law matters, including employee relations, regulatory compliance, performance management, discipline and termination, and harassment and discrimination.
- Develop, update, and assist with the implementation of policies, contracts, and employee communications.
- Prepare and deliver training to HR and business leaders to support regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
- Manage employment-related claims and disputes.
Qualifications :
3+ years of experience in Canadian HR and employment law with a corporate in-house law department.Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex matters at once.Demonstrated track record of building strong internal relationships and providing business-minded legal expertise.J.D. and membership in at least one Canadian provincial bar.
