Plant Maintenance Mechanic

As a key member of the maintenance team the Millwright will ensure that the day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Millwright will be responsible for maintaining and servicing equipment used in the facility. Additionally, they will warrant safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all employees.Critical Success Factors : Installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and upgrading of processing, packaging and material handling equipment in a food processing environmentCarry out work orders and apply corrective actionExecute approved modifications and additionsPerform and document all maintenance activitiesRead and understand mechanical and schematic drawingsMake recommendations and promote best practicesSupport health and safety programsKey Attributes of the Ideal Candidate : A valid Alberta Journeyman Certificate of Qualification as a MillwrightA minimum of 2 years related maintenance experience in an industrial plantKnowledge of plant and equipment operationsAbility to identify, problem solve and research alternatives within the scope of the jobGood mathematical, analytical, and problem solving skillsAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to work in a team based environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAvailable for weekend overtime as production demands requireMust have own hand toolsAdditional experience or education and training an asset, i.E. welding, refrigeration, electrical, steam ticket, etc.Rotating shift. Will include vacation coverage and working weekends when needed.
