We are looking to fill a QC position, and the details are provided below.
Responsibilities :
Reading and interpreting construction blueprints, site plans, and engineering drawings.
Construction site inspections to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and building codes. Identify construction defects, measure and document progress, and report findings to supervisors.
Assist in preparation of construction schedules, cost estimates, and material takeoffs.
Monitor construction progress and quality of workmanship to identify any deviations or issues which may arise during the construction process. Identify potential issues or delays and report them.
Prepare and maintain documentation such as progress reports, site diaries, and other records.
Participate in meetings and discussions with the project teams to provide input on construction methods, materials, and best practices.
Managing site workers and ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to complete the work efficiently.
Ensuring that all site equipment and tools are properly maintained and in good working order and the site is kept clean, safe and organized.
Maintain the stock in store, manpower management.
Coordinating with the subcontractors and ensuring that they are following the schedule and quality standards.
Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for specific projects.
Prepare regular quality reports for management and stakeholders, highlighting any issues and the status of corrective actions.
Requirement
A diploma or degree in Construction Project Management or related field is preferred.
2 - 3 years of experience in Canada.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Blue Beam, MS Project.
G License and owns a car.
WHIMS & WAH Certificates
Pay : $18.00-$22.00 per hour (depends on experience)
Expected hours : 40 per week
Schedule : 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday (Weekends if required)
