Position Overview

Velocity Truck Centres Canada, formally doing business as First Truck Centre, is looking for an Outside Parts Salesperson for our Edmonton South dealership. The Outside Parts Salesperson is required to promote, sell, and secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship approach.

Primary Job Functions

  • Cold call new prospects.
  • Revisit existing customers to ensure Velocity is top of mind for parts.
  • Prospecting new potential customers to promote Velocity and DTNA programs.
  • Expand ecommerce platforms.
  • Visit designated territory, maintain CRM, and deliver products.
  • Assist customers in selecting products and services that suit their needs.
  • Delivery of parts if required, picking up new parts returns and cores.
  • Utilize Computer systems to process parts and supplies, maintain records, prepare orders, post receipts, make sales contracts, stock adjustments and process credit requests.

    • Required Qualifications

  • Experience in sales or knowledge of transportation industry.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills to determine appropriate actions.
  • Customer service focused with strong communication skills to service and maintain customer relations including customer concerns.
  • Proven results driven attitude.
  • Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, detailed environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Post Secondary Education in Business, Sales or Marketing is an asset.
  • Apprentice to Journeyman Parts Technician ticket is an asset.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean drivers abstract.
