Apex Sound & Light Corporation is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Project Manager.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating projects, ensuring the seamless execution of audiovisual solutions to meet and exceed client expectations.

The individual joining our thriving Live Production Team will be responsible for (but not limited too) :

  • Oversee entire Live Event production from concept to fulfilment and reporting.
  • Work with Account Managers to lead the quoting process including equipment, tech and labour.
  • Create work back schedules ensuring Apex’s projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including account managers, technicians, engineers, and clients, to achieve project goals.
  • Leverage Apex’s extensive equipment inventory and reserve gear according to the project needs while providing further business opportunities to client base.
  • Produce project documentation, including floor plans, production schedules, event sheets and ensure all project resources are met both internally and externally.
  • Prepare project proposals for Account Manager.
  • Lead point of contact for client base, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any inquiries.
  • Foster positive client relationships by ensuring high-quality service / availability while building long-term relationships.
  • Identify potential risks and issues across different venues and work with the project team to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project scope and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.

Requirements :

  • Valid Canadian Drivers License (G) & Passport.
  • Bachelor's degree or College equivalent in Project Management, Business Administration, related field or equal experience in the industry.
  • 3 + years of experience of Project Management in the Audio-Visual Industry & / or Live Production industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of AV equipment across audio, video, lighting, staging and rigging
  • Proficient Vector works, WYSIWYG and AutoCAD knowledge is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate flexible work schedule and be available to travel outside the home office’s city and country.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office and other project management tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities both written & oral.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Job Type :  Full-time minimum 40 hours per week both in office and on-site
  • Ability to commute / relocate : Pickering, ON L1W 3R8 : reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

    Experience : Project management : 3 years (preferred)

    License / Certification : Canadian Drivers License (G) & Passport (required)

    Willingness to travel : 75%
