Job description

Geoterra IRS is seeking qualified candidates for timber cruiser positions in Prince George or Fort St. John British Columbia. This is a field-based position.

Location : British Columbia

  • Prince George
  • Fort St. John

Job Highlights :

  • Personal field gear allowance.

    • Accountabilities

  • Leading timber cruising and timber investigations.
  • Assist in cutblock, road layout and assessments.
  • Assist with the riparian and ecosystem assessments.
  • Data collection and entry.
  • Additional adhoc assistance requirements needed by the supervisor.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Positive attitude and highly organized.
  • 1-2 years experience as a timber cruiser in the British Columbia interior.
  • Working knowledge of the BC Timber Cruising Manual
  • Registered member of the ABCFP as an RPF, RFT, ATE, ATC.
  • Experience using CruiseMate application.
  • Level 1 first aid.
  • Valid BC Drivers License.
  • Willing to provide Drivers Abstract.
  • Must provide a Negative 12 panel Drug and Alcohol Test upon hire.

  • 25.00 - $35.00 per hour
