Programming Database Developer (Linux / Python)

Job Description

Our multi-discipline squad owns and maintains the following database infrastructure globally, Postgres (On Premise and Cloud), Snowflake and HVR. It hosts 1000s of critical databases and enables both application users and product support teams to manage these products effectively via self-service tools.

Required Skills

5+ years of Strong Developer Experience with ANSI complaint databases such as Postgres and Snowflake

Good Knowledge of SQL

Strong development skills in Python using database interfaces such as SQL Alchemy

Experience with Agile and DevOps

Experience with Linux and Windows

o Shell scripting

Hands-on experience with Azure and / or AWS CLI based application design and implementation

Strong communication and written skills Desired Skills :

Knowledge of security controls for the Public cloud (encryption of data in motion / rest and key management )

Developing monitoring architecture and implementing monitoring agents, dashboards, escalations and alerts

Experience with architecting and maintaining high availability production systems

Good understanding of Database and Cloud authentication (SAML, SCIM, OAuth, OpenID, Kerberos) is a plus
