The Role
The main duties of the Sales Representative are to prospect for new clients and continue to forge relationships with existing client accounts.
The successful candidate must have sales experience in manfacturing.
The right candidate is a people person who is a strong communicator both orally and written. A customer-centric go-getter.
Preference is given to candidates who have a background in the automotive manufacturing industry .
Responsibilities
- Close and grow sales through professional communication with existing and potential customers.
- Identify and resolve customer concerns; recommending a course of action to alleviate these concerns in the future.
- Prepare quotes to help secure new and existing business opportunities.
- Meet with customers to confirm their needs and preferences, explaining products and services offered by the Company.
- When suitable : initiating the design of customized truck solutions for the customer.
- Determine the best products to meet the requirements of a customer, through solid communication of their standard equipment, remaining flexible on custom options.
- Liaise with Design on existing and new customer requirements, as well as updates of ongoing review of Bill of Materials.
- Maintain awareness of pertinent customer information, future opportunities and plans, payment performance; communicate any customer details that may affect Company decisions to appropriate departments as needed.
Requirements
- Technical sales background preferred.
- Manufacturing or design-based sales experience preferred.
- 3+ years of professional sales experience.
- Yellow or Black belt and / or Six Sigma training / designation an asset
