Our client is a privately-owned, rapidly growing company looking to add its first ever growth-enabling CFO. The CFO will help scale and transform a $100 200 million industry leader into a $1 billion dollar company.

As CFO, you will be a forward-thinking strategic executive who can act as a partner to the senior leadership team, focusing on driving value. You will be driven, hands-on and operational, capable of wearing multiple hats and overseeing functions beyond finance. Most importantly, you’re someone who thinks like an owner, bringing an entrepreneurial attitude, a hands-on approach, and a clear and direct communication style. You will also be a key architect of the company’s business processes, systems and control processes to drive and support the company’s growth.

You know “what good looks like” both in terms of a first-rate finance organization, lean business processes and systems. Throughout your career you’ve demonstrated a commitment to the core values of integrity, service, excellence, and the courage to be bold. You have strong leadership and organizational skills, an aggressive style and a high-energy personality and will thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The Transformational Role :

The successful candidate will be excited by the immense opportunities of this rapidly growing industry. The CEO describes the role as 80% CFO and 20% COO. The company is looking for someone who :

  • Is highly analytical
  • Brings curiosity to understand and uncover how / where unique value is created, that can be replicated
  • Works collaboratively with others to find the magic recipe that leads to innovation and break-through
  • Is able to envision and install processes that bring financial and administrative discipline and accountability to an entrepreneurial company to help it scale

Key Requirements :

  • The ideal candidate will have significant financial executive experience in an entrepreneurial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in raising financing.
  • Adept at working with line managers to use financial information to improve decisions, results and lower risk.
  • Strong background in using analytics to identify performance insights and improvements.
  • Capability to help establish and align individual compensation incentives with company short-term and longer-term goals.
