Purpose
To provide excellent health and safety skills to Lion One Metals.
Key Accountabilities or Activities
Develop safety policies, procedures and systems based on a best practice approach and ensure continuous improvement in order to meet the highest industry standards
Support Safety goals while ensuring Operation Targets are met
Maintain awareness of safety regulations amongst all employees
Identify major hazard areas in the mine and develop and implement risk management strategies
Develop and implement a change management strategy and program
Other duties assigned by the Mine Manager

Demonstrate leadership in SHEC through personal behaviours and conversations
Position Required Capabilities
Skills :
Ability to schedule and prioritise tasks.
Have an understanding and strong commitment for workplace health and safety
Experience operating twin boom Jumbos
Ability to read and understand drilling instruction sheets to complete shift reports
Be proficient with hand tools
Have a good understanding of heavy-duty machinery
A positive, can- do driven attitude
Physically fit
Knowledge :
Good practical understanding of Health and Safety Standards
Sound understanding of how to communicate safety rules to team
A solid grasp of reading manuals and necessary instructions
Experience :
Minimum of 5 years industry experience as a Health and Safety Trainer
Education, Qualifications, Tickets, Licences :
Current knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act for Canada
A university degree in resource management or equivalent
