Position Job Title : Admissions, Team LeadLocation : Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada (Onsite)Reports To : Manager – Admissions, Pathways and Transfer Credits Direct Report(s) : Admission Officers, Pathway and Transfer Credit OfficerDuration : Full-Time, PermanentOverviewReporting to the Manager – Admissions, Pathways and Transfer Credits, the Admissions Team Lead will play a key role in proactively ensuring the Admissions Team delivers a high-quality service to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. The Admissions team lead will ensure admission requirements remain accurate and current in support of meeting institutional enrolment targets. They will conduct in-depth research on ever-evolving program and curriculum changes to ensure the institution continues to attract and admit highly qualified applicants. The incumbent will also lead admission team coaching, training and daily monitoring of operational output to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are maintained / achieved including but not limited to pre-assessment partner referral, application assessment turnaround time, application follow up and maintenance requests, and general admission inquiries. The incumbent will liaise daily with the Manager – Admissions, Pathways and Transfer Credits to distribute the daily admissions operations schedule and ensure a superior applicant experience built on excellent customer service and integrity in the admissions process. Specific ResponsibilitiesLead the coordination of day-to-day operations to effectively deliver service to all community and student populations.Create team schedules and delegate daily tasks to ensure proper workflow and required turnaround times are achieved.Administer ongoing data integrity reviews, ensuring that processes are followed, staff receive adequate and timely training so institutional standards are met and maintained. This will include long-term archival of student records within the student information system Colleague.Monitor and track enquiries as data to identify trends and to plan improvements in the communication and / or services.Conduct fit / gap analyses of international curriculum and make recommendations on admission requirements.Conduct analyses of international post-secondary institutions to ensure appropriate accreditation requirements have been met.Serve as the subject matter expert on domestic and international curriculum.Provide guidance and information to applicants regarding appropriate procedures and policies related to the admission review.Scrutinize documents, such as the University Academic Calendar, and websites for relevant information and accuracy.Represent the University of Niagara Falls Canada, as well as the admissions team, at appropriate meetings, events, and / or in discussions related to admissions.Participate as a member of the Admissions Committee to determine student admissibility and their Participate in and assist with activities lead by recruitment or student affairs including agent events, webinars, and / or new student orientation.Employ decision making and change management skills to assist the team in regular system updates and changes that impact day-to-day workflow and responsibilities.Assists the Manager in developing, planning, and delivery of training workshops, creation of procedure manuals, and development of all user documentation of the teams.Provides lead hand supervision and is responsible for the quality and quantity of work of the admissions team.Flexibility to work early mornings, evening and weekends as required to support university events or operationsOther duties as assigned to support the universityQualifications and Experience To be successful in the Admissions Team Lead position, an individual must be committed to developing, maintaining, and demonstrating the following : Education and ExperienceCompleted post-secondary credential in Business, International Business, International Relations, Office Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered).Minimum three (3) years of progressive experience within an Office of the Registrar.Demonstrated leadership skills and development within an Office of the Registrar, or higher education institution setting, directly related and / or supportive to the duties and responsibilities considered an asset.Demonstrated understanding of domestic and international education relating to admission, the student lifecycle within a post-secondary institution, strategic enrolment management concepts, and academic policies.CompetenciesSolid planning, analytical, organizational, and strategic thinking skillsExcellent writing abilities and proven abilities to communicate effectively with all members of the university community, including senior administratorsDemonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, prioritize tasks, proactively plan, and anticipate and problem-solve issues as they ariseProven service-oriented focusAbility to constructively engage with students, faculty, staff and external partnersProven ability to work independentlyTraining and mentoringAdvanced computer skills, included Microsoft Office SuiteDiversity, inclusion and equityThe University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) is strongly committed to equity, diversity, and inclusivity within its community and especially invites applications from all qualified candidates.
