Our enterprise public sector client is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to help their teams work through epics using the Scaled Agile Framework for enterprise (SAFe) methodology and support with a new pod formation that will be supporting Claims related initiatives.
1 year contract, possibilities of extensions. Hybrid in office, Vancouver.
Expected Start Date : Jan
Must Have :
- 6+ years direct hands-on experience in the agile practice as ScrumMaster working at the enterprise level, in highly complex and integrated environments.
- Of the 6+ years, 4+ years of relevant experience with agile methodologies and DevOps environments
- Of the 6+ years, 2+ years’ experience developing / delivery in the cloud
- Holds Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification such as CSPO, CSD, CSP, or PMI-ACP, SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), CDAP, CLP.
- Considerable experience identifying and removing technical & non-technical roadblocks towards team progress.
- Holds Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) training and certification like SAFe Practitioner, or commitment to take the course and obtain certification within 2 months from commencement of work.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) majors
Nice to Have :
Project management skills including budgeting and forecasting.
Responsibilities :
- Scrum Master delivers projects of varying complexity and size and for ensuring support of the production applications meet the expected service levels of our customers.
- Will guide and coach product owners and development teams through story development, iterations, retrospectives, product backlog management and decision making.
- Scrum Master will use specialist knowledge of agile and scrum to help teams deliver and continuously improve their product quality, velocity of delivery and professional development.
- Scrum Master will help to remove any impediments blocking progress of product delivery
