Summary of Duties :

  • Reporting to the Principal / Designate but receiving day to day guidance and direction from the Administrative Assistant, the Office Support Clerk is responsible for the provision of word processing;
  • high volume photocopying; may provide reception and switchboard; collecting, inputting and verifying accuracy of student attendance;

distributing mail; filing student information; and working as a member of a team to ensure the timely resolution of general office requirements, using both computerized and manual systems.

The duties and responsibilities assigned will vary for each position, based on individual school needs.

Required Qualifications and Experience :

Grade 12 Graduation

Minimum keyboarding speed of 40 wpm

Some knowledge of office procedures and standard office equipment including personal computers and office software

Good interpersonal and oral communication skills

Ability to use judgement and tact in providing information

Ability to deal effectively with constant interruptions

OR an equivalent combination of training and experience

Desirable Qualifications and Experience :

Knowledge of School District operations
