RADIUS is a social innovation and systems change hub based out of the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University, on the unceded and traditional territories of the xwməθkwəyəm (Musqueam), sḵwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and selílwitulh (Tsleil Waututh) Coast Salish peoples.

About the Role

The RADIUS Communications and Recruitment Manager leads and makes decisions on communications and recruitment strategies across RADIUS programs and platforms.

This position is an expert in digital communication, marketing, and recruitment, working in partnership with the leadership team to support the entire RADIUS portfolio, partnering with cross-functional teams within RADIUS and across Beedie and SFU.

The Manager is responsible for building, measuring, and enhancing the brands of RADIUS, Beedie, and SFU, generating content and messaging for RADIUS communications, ensuring the RADIUS voice and identity are consistent and compelling, and increasing visibility and engagement with RADIUS' target audiences.

The role is a key change agent, leading the ongoing development and implementation of existing and new digital technologies to enhance the strategic goals of RADIUS.

The Manager will be proactive in understanding and applying a justice, equity, diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) framework to all aspects of their scope of work.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline, and five years of relevant experience in communications and / or marketing, event planning, website content management and basic design, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Demonstrated skills in implementing and advancing a JEDI framework to operations, communications, recruitment, and delivery.
  • Excellent knowledge and ability to create, lead and implement communications, marketing, and recruitment strategies and initiatives.
  • Excellent knowledge of print and electronic media, social media, desktop publishing applications, web metrics and digital analytics, and content-management technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to consult, advise, and support clients at all levels of management.
