We seek a skilled and motivated Day Shift Electrician t o join a leading global OEM. As a Day Shift Electrician, you will ensure efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems within the automotive manufacturing facility. Your expertise will contribute to producing high-quality vehicles while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to :
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems, equipment, and machinery used in the manufacturing process.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, utilizing a range of testing equipment and diagnostic tools to ensure rapid resolution.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to address breakdowns and malfunctions promptly, minimizing production downtime.
- Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to meet safety standards and production requirements.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately perform tasks and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimize equipment performance.
- Conduct preventive maintenance procedures to extend the lifespan of equipment and minimize the likelihood of breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections using digital systems or written documentation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Mandatory Requirements :
Must be a ticketed Electrician, additional tickets an assetProven experience as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing setting, preferably within the automotive sector.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and components commonly used in manufacturing environments.Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is an asset.Location : Cambridge, Ontario
