We have an immediate for an interim temporary on assignment Intermediate accountant from now until the end of February for our client. Our client is a prominent and well known excellent not for profit society in the down town east side of Vancouver assisting women in need.

Your excellence in accounting is needed as soon as possible.

Overview

We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Accountant to join our clients financial team for a temporary interim position. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and supporting various accounting functions. This position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software to maintain the integrity of our financial data.

Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records.
• Manage accounts payable processes including invoice processing and payment scheduling.
• Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Execute account reconciliation tasks to maintain accurate balances across all accounts.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support strategic planning.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decisionmaking.

Skills Experience with accounting software Sage 300 Proficiency in Yardy would be an asset Advanced Excel skills Property management company experience is good to have Payroll knowledge is good to have Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough account analysis. Knowledge of accounts payable functions and best practices. Familiarity with financial services regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders. Experience in Bank & Visa Reconciliation Experience with Accounts Payable & Receivable Experience with Invoice coding and posting. Understanding of inter-company transactions & Inter-company chargebacks Experience with reconciling GL accounts. Audit preparation assistance. Qualifications : Bachelor s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of accounting experience. Professional certification such as CPA designation or working towards completion.
