Accountant (CPA)
This role is for our client in the mining industry. The successful candidate will join a team of high-performing accounting professionals responsible for accurate financial statement preparation and analysis in compliance with IFRS and corporate policies. The role involves assessing complex transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and collaborating with key stakeholders, including finance teams, tax specialists, and auditors. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to process improvements and maintain high standards in financial reporting.

- Incorporated Business Rate : $80 to $90 per hour.

Responsibilities :
Support the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results for external and management reporting.Assess the accounting treatment and financial impact of complex and exceptional transactions.Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX standards, and corporate accounting policies.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including finance business partners and auditors.Contribute to the development of a financial reporting framework that aligns with business growth strategies.Participate in internal and external audit engagements.Solve complex financial issues and recommend effective solutions.Promote a culture of continuous improvement, engagement, and business excellence.What you will need to succeed :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.CPA qualification.7+ years of relevant accounting experience.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Experience in the mining or related industry, with knowledge of key accounting standards (asset).Experience working in a matrix organization or demonstrated ability to collaborate across different levels.Experience with Joint Venture Accounting (asset).Familiarity with SAP and Hyperion Financial Management (asset).Previous experience in an accounting firm (strong asset).Strong analytical skills and a curiosity-driven approach to problem-solving.Bilingual fluency in English and French is required to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, support financial reporting and audits, and ensure compliance with corporate policies across both language groups.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Why Recruit Action?
