Position : Operations Manager / Director

Direct Reports : Territory Managers / Team Leaders / Crew Members

Overview :

This role plays a critical role in leading and inspiring teams to achieve excellence in landscaping, snow removal, and construction projects. This position demands initiative, self-direction, and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels. Expertise in construction management, coupled with hands-on experience in operating heavy equipment, is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

• Team Management : Supervise and support daily operations, ensuring that teams are punctual, well-prepared, and consistently deliver high-quality work. Work with crews and conduct regular field visits for quality control and address any issues promptly.
• Scheduling : Coordinate with Team Managers to plan and adjust schedules, considering factors like weather conditions, holidays, and staffing needs. Oversee pre-season planning, including site mapping and equipment allocation.
• Construction Management : Operate and train staff on heavy machinery such as graders, dozers, and excavators. Ensure accurate grading and adherence to technical specifications on all construction projects.
• Quality Control : Regularly collaborate with management to address quality concerns, propose site improvements, and ensure customer satisfaction. Lead post-storm and end-of-season reviews to drive continuous improvement.
• Leadership : Uphold and enforce company policies, maintain open communication with management, and foster a culture of safety and efficiency. Assist HR in recruiting, onboarding, and developing staff.
