Reporting to the Event Services Manager and Assistant Manager, the successful candidate will assist the Event Services Management team in supervising and overseeing a team of Housepersons during a specified shift to ensure the safe, timely and efficient day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities : Coordination

  • Develops, plans, and executes a course of action to achieve departmental goals and objectives, including planning staff workloads for upcoming events.
  • Ensures all necessary information is passed down daily for smooth operations.

Employee Support

  • Supervises Event Services staff, assigns workloads, and ensures compliance with Health & Safety standards.
  • Organizes and analyzes event setup information.
  • Oversees staff interactions with clients / customers and fellow employees to maintain professionalism.
  • Provides hands-on direction and guidance to staff.
  • Operations

  • Interacts with clients daily to accommodate last-minute requests.
  • Coordinates with other departments to address client concerns and ensure successful events.
  • Monitors Housepersons' work tasks and reassigns duties as necessary.
  • Administration

  • Creates administrative reports and ensures e-log completion after each shift.
  • Ensures all incident reporting forms are completed post-incident.
  • Assists in training new Housepersons on procedures and ensures accountability among staff.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Logistics setup crew.
  • Job Skills and Requirements

  • 1-2 years related work experience in a similar environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word / Excel, Ungerboeck.
  • Progressive experience in a unionized work environment.
  • Experience in equipment setup and teardown for conventions, meetings, and banquets is an asset.
  • Availability to work shifts / weekends based on business demands.
