Job Summary

We are looking for an OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE with a great balance of ambition, enthusiasm and personality based in North Toronto. The sales role is primarily a business development role that requires an experienced individual who is confident when discussing construction and design with architects, home builders, roofers and other industry professionals in both residential and commercial applications. Further, the candidate must be competent in general sales, business development and account management with established and new customers. Overnight travel is required as well as occasional evening and weekend work when needed.

Job Details :

  • Establishing long-term relationships with industry professionals across territory.
  • Meet and assess construction professional’s needs and present recommendations from a broad range of residential and commercial skylight products.
  • Establish long-term relationships with existing and new dealers.
  • Focus on growing our VIP Certified and Specialist Program.
  • Manage your sales territory by planning and working your plan to achieve set goals.
  • A typical work week is 4 days on the road and 1 day working from home for planning.
  • Looking for new sales opportunities from existing and new customers.
  • Sales presentations and seminars to individuals and groups.
  • Installation training to professionals. Servicing of installed products.
  • Report daily activities through established CRM reporting methods.
  • Work trade and home shows as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous related outside sales experience is required.
  • Superior commitment to customer service with a focus on value-added selling.
  • Excellent self-management, time management and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding creative thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Strong presentation and telephone skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to work on your own for extended periods of time.
  • Must be available to work days and some evenings / weekends.
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of a clean driving record required.
  • Knowledge of the Internet, MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
  • Ability to occasionally lift >
  • 50 lbs.

  • Ability to climb a ladder and not be afraid of heights.
