Full Time Merchandiser Job Description
The Merchandiser is responsible for the planning, buying, and execution of merchandise assortments for a specific retail store or chain of stores. The Merchandiser works closely with the buying team to develop a buying plan that meets the needs of the target customer and the overall business goals. The Merchandiser is also responsible for working with the store associates to ensure that the merchandise is properly displayed and presented.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute buying plans for assigned merchandise categories
- Work with vendors to source and negotiate the best possible prices for merchandise
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure that the store is adequately stocked with merchandise
- Work with the store associates to merchandise the product effectively
- Analyze sales data and make recommendations for future buying plans
