About the Role :
We are hiring an experienced Cabinet Maker on behalf of our clients in the Greater Vancouver Area . The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, crafting, assembling, and installing custom cabinets, millwork, and furniture. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a variety of materials, including wood, laminate, and veneer.
Key Responsibilities :
Cabinet Making & Assembly :
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials to create custom cabinetry.
- Assemble and install cabinets, doors, and drawers according to design plans.
Finishing & Quality Control :
Sand, stain, and finish cabinets for a high-quality appearance.Conduct final inspections to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic quality.Tool & Machinery Operation :
Operate power tools, saws, drills, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.Maintain tools and ensure proper usage and storage.Installation & On-Site Work :
Install cabinets and millwork at job sites, ensuring a precise and level fit.Work closely with clients and contractors to complete installations efficiently.Material Handling & Safety Compliance :
Manage and organize materials to optimize workflow.Follow workplace safety guidelines and ensure compliance with industry standards.Schedule :
Day shiftsMonday to Friday with occasional weekend availabilityRequirements :
High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in cabinet making or millwork .English proficiency at CLB 5 or higher .Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, carpentry tools, and finishing methods.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and shop sketches.Experience with CNC machines is an asset.Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.Benefits :
