In this role, you will lead critical projects within our low-voltage product portfolio, driving innovation and excellence in DC power systems.Learn more about our (Class 2) low voltage power distribution system here : https : / / www.youtube.com / watch?v=U6KuvMl3JPc&ab_channel=ElectricInsightshttps : / / www.cencepower.com / ecosystem / class-2-power-supplyhttps : / / www.cencepower.com / product-specs / low-voltage-systemKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, assemble, solder, and test PCB prototypes, integrating embedded control systems and signal processing methods.Develop and validate schematic and PCB designs using tools like Altium 365.Develop, test, and optimize embedded firmware and software for production systems.Perform in-circuit testing (ICT) and functional testing (FCT) of PCBs and embedded systems.Optimize BOMs, evaluate components, and analyze datasheets to enhance performance and cost efficiency.Design and maintain production testing jigs, including hardware design, firmware programming, and software development for automated testing processes.Ensure production testing equipment meets safety standards, including electrical, mechanical, and ergonomic requirements.Verify product specifications and execute Design Validation Plans (DVPs).Use simulation tools (e.g., LTspice, TI WEBENCH) to validate designs and debug issues.Stay current with innovations and trends in embedded systems, microcontrollers, and related technologies to inform R&D activities.Provide technical support during production, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high-volume functional testers.Train operators on production testing procedures, equipment usage, and quality standards.QualificationsEducation : Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electronics Engineering or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in embedded systems design and testing.Experience Alternative : 7+ years of hands-on experience in embedded systems, firmware development, and PCB design, without formal education requirements.Preferred SkillsProficiency in microcontroller programming (C / C++) and scripting (Python).Experience designing embedded systems with microcontrollers such as STM32.Expertise in creating firmware and software for production testing and automation.Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other debugging tools.Strong skills in schematic design, PCB layout, and circuit protection methods.Knowledge of EMI and EMC design principles.Familiarity with communication protocols (I2C, SPI, USB, UART).Understanding of certification standards (e.g., CSA, UL).Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.Experience in designing for manufacturability, scalability, and reliability.What Sets You ApartExperience using version control systems like Git.A portfolio showcasing embedded systems or testing jig designs.Documented experience in product testing and validation.Participation in engineering competitions or hackathons.Leadership in significant technical projects.Experience in project management and collaboration tools.Client-facing experience to define project requirements.What We OfferAnnual starting salary of $80,000–$110,000 (based on experience and skillset).Health Spending Account.Flexible work hours.Professional development and training opportunities.Join us at Cence Power and help transform the way the world delivers electricity.
