We have partnered with a local residential construction company to support in the recruitment process to find their next  Service Administrator.

Our NW client, specializing in residential construction, is looking to bring on a  Service Administrator to join their tight-knit family business. This small group of ( if you include the resident dog!) is seeking a like-minded hire to join their growing company. This group likes to work hard, but have fun while doing so; poking fun at one another and sharing in a laugh.

This role requires excellent interpersonal skills to work alongside homeowners, technicians / sub contractors, and the Service Coordinator who they will be supporting day-in, day-out.

The ideal candidate should be tech savvy with the ability to use analytical / critical thinking to see big picture concepts and all of the moving parts of the business process. This includes scheduling, cost, creating work orders, ordering materials, arranging delivery, etc.

This person will enjoy camaraderie and collaboration amongst the team while also being able to maintain focus with impeccable attention to detail and follow through on the processes that are in place.

Duties and Responsibilities :

The key job functions are :

  • Contacting homeowners to set up appointments for technicians to complete repairs
  • Creating work orders for repairs
  • Setting up sub contractors
  • Completing costing for completed jobs
  • Helping the Service Coordinator with their paperwork
  • Working with the team to determine what the job scope is
  • Ordering materials and creating the corresponding work order
  • Reviewing work orders for accuracy before sending to invoicing
  • PO requests
  • Other duties as assigned

Education :

  • Highschool Diploma / GED
  • Relevant post secondary education an asset
  • Qualifications :

  • Valid drivers licence and reliable vehicle to get to site (not transit accessible)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel)
  • Experience :

  • years administrative experience required
  • Previous experience in residential service administration, estimating, construction, or a related field is a huge asset
  • Skills :

  • Critical thinking
  • Positive and relaxed attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization
  • Strong prioritization and time management, able to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Tech savvy
  • Adaptable, flexible, and able to function effectively autonomously as well as in a team environment
